Andy & Amy's At Home Wedding in Bowmanville

Believe it or not but this was actually the third wedding that Stef & Ethan were guests at

And it turns out we simply do not know how to attend a wedding without a camera, so much so we showed up to this one with our gear in hand. Jk! This was actually Ethan’s uncle’s wedding and our gift to them was snapping a few photos throughout the day. Their priority, and really their only ask, was family photos and a few photos of the ceremony but since we were there and since we had our cameras, we did off and on shoot through the entire night.

It was a bit glum and overcast as the day began, and even when we started shooting a family photos, but the vibrancy of the fall foliage really came through and makes everything pop despite no real sun. A&A have a big property just off the 401 (if you look in some of the photos you can literally see the HWY right there) but they way they decorated everything made it feel very intimate and like a completely different space. The sun decided to come out right before the ceremony and we took advantage of that moment by snapping a few photos in the cornfield with some beautiful backlighting.

After getting a few dancing photos we finally put the camera down and immersed ourselves into the wedding as true guests and boy oh boy was it fun! Not that many of our friends / family are getting married in the near future, but it’s safe to say we can’t wait for the next one!
