Rustic Styled Bridal Session at The Jam Factory

Planning and shooting a styled shoot has been one of our goals for the longest time…

And it's been something that we've admittedly put off for an even longer time. Planning this shoot wasn’t easy, we won't sugar coat it; from finding vendors, venue, dates that work for your whole team, going to fittings, sourcing tables and chairs, props, scheduling a pick up and drop off of everything, the list goes on and on. But you know what friends, it's honestly all worth it. Being able to plan and execute our vision makes all the hard work makes it so much more fulfilling at the end of the day.

Winter in Toronto can always feel never ending so the overall theme/goal of our session was to bring some warmth and life back into the city (and our souls) while waiting for spring to roll around. Our overall moodboard was very simple; a minimalistic bridal session with pops of green, warm tones, and a little purple- a small ode to this year's Pantone colour of the year ;)

The Jam Factory is located in the city's east end, right above Merchants of Green Coffee (where we shot Pam + Tyler's wedding!) and was the perfect bright, and rustic venue that fit for our vision for this shoot; the wooden floors brought some warmth and colour into the photos, the exposed brick walls and large windows gave the shoot a very rustic feeling, and while our style of shooting is usually very clean and bright, around noon we had these beautiful pockets of harsh light come in that we had to take advantage of!

This team was nothing short of a dream to work with; we had a vision that wedding planner Karin (of Karin Wu & Co.) helped bring to life! Everyone on set was energetic and enthusiastic, so much so that our motto for the day was "team work makes the dream work". This shoot was the perfect way for everyone to get out of a winter slump and bring some life back into our crafts before beginning all of our busy seasons.

Our first, but certainly not last (we can testify that by the time this goes live, we've already shot our second) styled shoot! This has felt like one of the hardest but most fulfilling projects we've done to date and we're so thankful for all of the incredible people who not only brought our vision to life but further elevated it with their talents; thank you thank you thank you!
