Meagan & Nelson's Waterfront Engagement

it seems like we have found a new favourite engagement session location

After having multiple, super beautiful, sessions at Colonel Samuel Smith Park this year I think it’s safe to say that we can add this location to our ‘tried and true’ list for anyone who may be stuck on finding a location for their session. Offering both waterfront views of both the Toronto skyline and west facing views for optimal sunset photos, as well as spots with greenery, boats, a bridge, rocks to walk and pose on. And if you want to wander onto the Humber campus there are even more industrial looking locations, a big field… it definitely has a wide variety of beautiful backdrops for shooting.

Having said that, when Meagan & Nelson selected this location for their session we were super excited! Unbeknownst to us the night we selected was actually Nuite Blanche so we had to find alternate parking, and it definitely felt like it was a little busier than usual, but it was still just as fun and romantic. We’re the first to admit that getting your photo taken and being in front of the camera is an awkward experience (we too are awkward ppl!!) but I think a saving grace to that is doing it with someone you’re so comfortable around; you take the pressure off of each other. M&N were so cute and giggly with each other it made their photos and the whole experience of shooting together so much fun!

We’re so appreciative of this love note that they sent following our shoot:

I just wanted to send a quick note to thank you for your time and an amazing first-shoot experience. Nelson and I went home and could not stop talking about how fun it was! Thank you for making us feel comfortable and at ease :)
